Announces morning’s arrival
Leaves dancing
on the wind
for an audience of one
Trees in the wind
Waving to no one
The creaks and groans
of old trees in the wind;
What stories they hold.
Moss
growing on an outcropping
buffeted by wind and water
Resilience
A seedling
Poking through fallen leaves.
Rebirth.
Life becomes
what we make.
So make the most.

of this old house
tell its quiet story
Who can argue nature?
Surely she is
wiser than all
